Outreach Ministries
Local Outreach Ministry Team
- To provide food, clothing, financial
and spiritual assistance to people in
need through the ministry at the
Shepherd's Nook and through other means
to be available to people in need.
- To connect persons who live alone
through the Phone Buddy program.
- To provide a ministry to people at
the Berlin Nursing Home and to other
facilities that minister to the needs of
the sick and the aging.
- To explore ministries of social
justice that address the injustices and
various social issues and needs in our
community.
- To have the co-chairpersons be
members of the Church Council.
Habitat of Northern Worcester County
- To participate and provide
leadership for our own Habitat for
Humanity group and to help Community
Church to fulfill its commitment as a
"Covenant Church."
"Eagle's Wings" Senior Housing Team
- To work with Interfaith Housing
Development Corporation to build
"Eagles' Wings", on our neighboring
driving range as affordable housing
apartments and cottages for seniors on
fixed incomes.
- To promote, initiate and oversee a
vital missions outreach beyond our
community to our nation and world.
National and Global Outreach Ministry
Team
- To facilitate our support of United
Methodist mission programs and
missionaries.
- In addition to Nurture's Appalachia
Service Project, to encourage and
facilitate at least one Volunteer in
Mission trip every three or four years
to national and global locations.
Northern Worcester Cluster Representative
- To have the chairperson be a member
of the Church Council, meeting as
needed.
- To represent our congregation in the
Mission Area Ministry of the United
Methodist Churches of Berlin, Ocean City
and Ocean Pines.
- To involve our congregation in
cooperative ministries that reach out in
ministry to our communities.
- To be a district steward
representing our congregation in the
Salisbury District.
