About Us

Community Church at Ocean Pines is an ecumenical and inclusive fellowship of the United Methodist Church. The United Methodist Church is a 12.3-million strong global church that opens hearts, opens minds and open doors through active engagement with our world. John Wesley and the early Methodists placed primary emphasis on Christian living, on putting faith and love into action. You will find Community Church a warm and inviting place to worship, fellowship, spiritually grow and serve God. We are a vital presence in the local community that provides spiritual and charitable resources to help strengthen today's families.

S. Share the love of Christ
H. Honor Christ through worship
Jesus came and told his disciples, "I have been given all authority in heaven and on earth. Therefore, go and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit. Teach these new disciples to obey all the commands I have given you. And be sure of this: I am with you always, even to the end of the age." Matthew 28:16-20

We are United Methodists that are intentionally diverse, seeking to include persons from various denominations and congregational backgrounds as well as striving to reach across age, gender, racial, cultural and class barriers to be genuinely inclusive—a congregation intent on welcoming all persons into this fellowship with Jesus Christ and to be a meaningful part of our faith community.

We are committed to variety in worship with 3 different styles of worship in our three Sunday morning worship services: informal at 8:00am, contemporary service with modern praise band at 9:15am, and traditional service with choir and organ at 10:30am.
